Date of birth: 29th April 2012
Towards the end of 2015 we were informed of 4 children who were in desperate need from a neighboring village, and we were able to offer them a permanent home with us in December 2015.
Leah is from Kayunga, Mukono District - a neighboring village. She is 3 years old and she came along with her brother Sam. She is the 12th child in her family. When she arrived, her feet and hands were covered with jiggers, she was malnourished, had worms and lots of ring worm. We took her for a medical check up where she had the jiggers removed, was dewormed and given antibiotics. We gave her lots of fruit and vegetables, cod-liver oil and vitamins and she started to respond within a few weeks. She was always gloomy and looked very unhealthy but she has settled in well and is now a happy and healthy little girl. She loves dancing, playing and trying new things.
